there is someone using my name , but diff MM #(54122) that is scamming or worse to models. The real george Ephrem, me, has nothing to do with this guy, and if you look at my port, i have already put a statement about htis. yes he has already been reported to the police and i have emailed to Tyler. i will be contacting the det. on this case again in the morning. Again, i have nothing to do with this "person" at all

he is also using someones pics on the site, so you all might want to check out to see if the pics are yours.

Please do not look badly at me, it is not me.

Thank you and God bless..George Ephrem(the real guy)

because this is not the first time he has done this and some of the emails the models have sent me are scary(for them), and i do not want to be picjked up for something i have nothing to do with. That's why!! and if what you say is true, why would i let Tyler know, who should know all his info and he would see that it is NOT me!

if that's not good enough for you, i really don't care, it does not involve you , so just stay out of it!!

i looked at the profile and i recognized well known photographers images, one of them being david hickeys, another one being mike brochu's images, guy is definitely a fake, and david is a friend of mine, so he will be notified because the pic was cropped to not show his signature watermark on the pic...

oh and the model in those pics is a newly joined mm'er named katie, i bet her pics were lifted to use on his profile....

This is a case where having a self portait in your portfolio would be beneficial..

I think that every photographer should have their image up...I usually find that the ones that do are much less shady. However, that is just my experience...

So why are you posting this on an open MM forum?

And yes I was joking and shedding some humor on your situation, but I see from your reply that you have no sense....... of humor or spell check for that matter.

The model is Katie Carso mm#78888 in several of his pics and she clearly gives credit to other photographers for those pics. Why is he still on???

To lure him in to a false sense of security so that more evidence can be gathered?

I saw the tongue-in-cheek tone in your post. However, anyone who has had this happen to them (I have) is not in a joking mood.

The guy that was posing as me would get models to show up then mollest them. I got tired of constantly checking the forums for "Watch out for John Jebbia" posts. Finally, I put my photo on my website and in my online ports and whenever a model would complain that I had done something to her, I would show her my site and say "Was this the guy?"

Finally the imposter stopped... He had to. He went to prison. (Unrelated)

Don't play games and try to hide from this guy....people like this need to know that the members of this site stick together dn call people on their shit.....you posted it in a public forum....and I am glad you did....let MM get rid of him and be done with it.

Hopefully the moron won't read this thread.  Maybe tyler can block him from the forums.  Maybe he can block the guy from reading this thread...who knows.

I would dare say that if it happened to you there would be a lack of humor as well, any of us would, lighten up and you're a fine one to criticize someone's spelling skills....I've read MANY of your posts.

I'm sorry but anyone that uses someone else's images and claims that they took them is pathetic. They are also a liar, cheater, crook, thief *oops* I forgot no flaming. It's not only not nice it's illegal.

I am just coming home, finding Joe's message in my box.

I looked at the profile and it was banned with the following denial message:

Status: Denied
Reason: Fake profile for a photo thief and identity stealer person.

So, a moderator took already care of it.

This happens all the time on MySpace!  So much so that I started a FUN group that is devoted to outing the FAKES!  We join in swarms and then proceed to post a few 100 times in their "comments" both on the main profile and on the pictures comments!  Mostly we post the true persons Profile link along with joking asking why this person is using someone else's pictures that they STOLE just to be a FAKE on MySpace?  Some are not as nice as I am .. but I do a splendid job of EXPOSING the FAKE!  wink

Oh ... btw, once they log on to see that their profile has been overwhelmed with messages telling all who click on it that they are a FAKE, they usually delete the profile rather quickly OR the MySpace Admin does so for them because we also report them.

Has anyone ever thought about doing a covert operation on these a-holes?

Have a model you know set up a shoot with the scumbag, then on the day of the shoot you show up instead and take all his camera gear. Who knows what kinda loot you might come up with..

Seeing as how they aren't posting any of their own photos, it's entirely possible that there's no camera gear to take.  wink

Well, I would too, but when he said "Its none of your business"....well, then it gets kind of silly as to if its none of our business, why post it?  It was THAT which I had commented on, not the fact that he posted in the first place.

Aesa,
I was replying back to CR and not to everyone else.had you read all of the postings at that time, you have figured this out.
As for posting this, I am trying to protect any MODELS,(not any photogs) that he might contact, or that they would contact him. Also, so that everyone knows that I am being maligned by this guy, my reputation. even if  you and everybody else may think that i'm not the best photog since Ansel,  I still have a good and proper reputation, that i do not want smeared by anyone . I should think that if you were  in my shoes, you would feel the same way....i.e.  someone may be crappy at photography, but he or she is still a decent, ethical person. Would you want your name smudged by some creeton???? I would hope not.
and besides, he lifted another persons work.

ps, ....yea i know im not tooo gooode at speliing, i'l save you the trouble if that's the best you can complain about with me

So I have talked with the detective again today. I only hope that this comes to an end soon.

You had a lot of photographers going to bat for you on this (including me). Why would you not want to protect them too? Maybe I misunderstood but that comment seems a little crappy.

I not only posted in this thread but also sent an email to both Udo and Dawn Elizabeth. Both of them responded and Dawn Elizabeth was the one to bounce him. We all owe her a thank you because if that conduct is addressed quickly it may discourage others from even thinking about it.

Sorry for the confusion....he would possibly want to mess with a model..(do things that are not nice) i don't think he has ever wanted a photog to contact him.
in a letter that he sent to a model 2 months ago, when he was on babewarehouse casting page, he wrote some stuff, that made me fearful of what he might do to a girl(not a photog) yes i do want to protect a photogs images, and reputation, but i was impying he might hurt a model. that's all.

thishas been an ongoing thing, and we(detective and me) thought he had quite all this stuff. Apparently  not though.
It definately is not that i don't care about you guys and gals that are photogs.
I do . i don't wish anything bad on anyone, even this nut case, just want him to stop.

Hope that clears that part up
Now..... what else did  i screw up on???(LOL)
