Come on...you could have referenced the model's profile too (or at least included a photo in the text if you're worried about her being swamped) so we can see what a model manager (shh) thinks is a *spark*

I can't wait for Part 2!!! Does it all work out? Is she really 18? Where does she go, Paris, Milan, New Jersey? Does Jesse Ventura make a come back? The suspense is killing me!

Oh, she really is eighteen, and she really is 5'8 (actually slightly taller). I measured her in her bare feet, and so did every agency. They always do. Day 2: I bought her shoes!

I think the story is great. Hope model and photographers read about it. Just a question: I thought that MM did not allow Model Managers or Agency to be members. May some one clear this matter to me ?

May some one clear this matter to me ? He's not promoting himself as a model manager or agency on his profile hence why he's not being hounded about it. He also probably doesn't go looking around MM for models to harass with emails about being managed by him. Many of us wear multiple hats, but with relation to Model Mayhem you should not be promoting yourself as a model manager or your model management business.

John Fisher wrote: I do at times act as a scout for the agencies when I am introduced to a model who is qualified to work as a fashion model. If you are working in fashion, this is fairly common in New York and Miami (and LA I would presume). John -- Dear John; I appreciate you as a professional. However, you state that you are not promoting yourself on Model Mayhem as a model manager, yet you sign your posts with the full address of the model management company, their phone number AND website. I shoot (naturally) for agencies and introduce talent to them if I find one (never FROM MM!) and so do many many of the full time photographers on this site. Nobody mentions the agency/ies that we are working with. There are other shooters on MM who fall even more into your category, by having very close ties to a specific management company, and we ask them to remove any links or mention of their affiliated company from their profile and not to advertise in any other manner that they work in such a capacity. In case of your posts, I ask you politely, out of respect for you and your/our peers (same rights for all), to remove the said references, and sign only with your name and personal website, e.G.: John Fisher http://www.johnfisher.com I am aware that this is your regular signature tag line... but you can use a photographer's only tag line for Model Mayhem. Thank you so much... and, please... continue your story... UdoR Moderator

Amazing girl, and fantastic story. It truly is all about timing and the people you know. Unfortunately I have horrible timing and know just about no-one. Oh well...back to the grind with visions of fabulousness in my head

And see, this is how it's supposed to be done. Great story, and thanks for reminding me about the Crowbar. A few friends and I hung out there with Cornelious Bennett a few years ago while I was on assignment. *Standing O*
