does anyone out there know how to "create' a warming type effect"filter" in photoshop??? i had heard on one several months ago, but can not remember where it was found at on the net. any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks ....ge a model that i recently shot with, didn't have too much tan, and i wanted to give her a little bit of suntan look. hope somebody can help me Nov 28 05 04:47 pm Link CS2 has a bunch of filters built in, including a warming filter. Look under the filters menu or do a filter layer under the layers menu. I can't remember exactly because I don't use it but I played around with a it a little once. Personally I use the color balance tool and take yellow/cyan two steps towards yellow and blue/magenta two steps towards magenta. I think that's right, I have an action and haven't looked at it in a while, it's the top and bottom sliders, one left and one right (if you get them backwards it looks cooler instead of warmer). I do this for shadows, midtones and highlights and I think I have "maintain luminosity" or whatever checked. I think this is pretty close to adjusting the color temp in raw (which is another option if you shot raw) but can be done with jpeg also and you can do it as a layer and mask out areas you don't want changed. Nov 28 05 04:59 pm Link In photoshop CS or CS 2 there is a Photo Filters item under Image > Adjustments Several filters can be applied there. Fill this layer with a color that you want to tint the image with. Then, right click on the layer and choose "blending options..." Then change the blend mode to something that you like, usually overlay with a lowered opacity or soft light. then you can merge the layers together and edit the levels and curves so the picture doesn't look dull. if you need any more help, feel free to message me. Nov 28 05 11:44 pm Link Here's an 81, A B or C filter from a well known Photoshop teacher. Make a new layer. Fill layer with foreground color that is R 242, G 185, B 96. Set layer mode to Color. Layer opacity at 10% gives you 81A, 20% 81B and 30% 81C. Good Luck! Nov 29 05 12:40 am Link Simulate glass filters to Wratten filter series. This is a stand-alone application... and the price is right- it's freeware: http://www.mediachance.com/digicam/filtersim.htm Studio36 Nov 29 05 03:30 am Link v 7 has a warming filter too. You can also use Variations. Nov 30 05 07:11 am Link |
