Okay, so heres the story:
A few days ago I had a really strange dream, I dreamt my sister was in

some sort of accident and was in a coma. Myself and our younger sister

went to her hospital room and put makeup on her, knowing she would

never be caught dead in public with out it. In my dream this spurred a

orginization run by me and my sister called "Makeup for E". We would do

makeup for women that are ill and stuck in the hospital to remind them

that they are still beautiful.

Mind you, this was all a dream, but the more i thought about it, the more it

sounds like a wonderful idea. So i was wondering if any MUAs would ever

be interested in something like that, where a bunch of people would go to

the hospital and work with maybe cancer patients or whatever

and spend the day doing mini makeovers, cheering them up and

showing them that no matter what they are

still beautiful women...

If I ever were to really get this off the ground it would be in the NY area.

It  wouldnt be for pay, just to brighten somebodys day whos having a

rough life. Maybe if it catches on I could get some photographers to tag

along and take pictures to the press, getting whoevers involved some

exposure... So make up artists....Do you think this is something you could

get behind?

This would probably do better in Casting Calls.  Let me know if you want it moved.

We have organizations that do this in Toronto. We also go to women's shelters to do the makeovers!

I've thought of doing that, and think it's a great idea. Don't know if they'd feel comfortable being photographed...? But definitely a cheering up. I also do airbrush makeup which has been used on people recovering from facial surgeries, but am not quite sure how to go about it... I'm all the way across the U.S. too.

Have you done any research on it?

Hey that's a great idea!  Maybe you should do in general to all the women who have had a crappy life, homeless women, battered wives, Single mothers, etc etc.  You could make it a non-profit org! Interesting....

This is pretty much what i was going for, a non-profit orginization...lol Im in the holiday spirit. The really MAJOR hospital in my area is LONG ISLAND JEWISH. I figured it would be a good place to start, but before i tried putting things in motion i wanted to know if i would have a following...Oh, and josie, i was afraid to put this in casting calls because things get pushed off the front page SO fast there, but if you think it will do better, be my guest.
