what is it?

Postmoderism is a theory that began in France in the 1960's with the writings of Michel Foucault, Roland Bartes & Jacques Derrida, and was embraced by Anglo-American academics in the 1970's. According to postmoderism, we and our world are permeated by a hidden, impersonal structure of language which is contaminated with "bourgeois"values.
