I have never been one for the blood type pictures, as one look at my port, will tell you, but I swear I read a model profile the other night that said she liked to shot with real blood, and that fake blood is for wussies.

So where do you go to grab a quart of the real stuff if you don't know anyone at the blood bank?  Some models can be a real pain to satisfy.

Well as long as we're venting, nothing makes me want to puke more than a so called nude/artsy picture of a pregnant woman.  I'll say it everytime someone starts a pet peeve thread.  I'm so glad you got pregant, now put on a shirt.  I don't want to see your belly until you've given birth and gotten back in shape.

Tried fake blood once, several years ago, at the models request.  No real reason to go there again.

A few months ago I had a woman offer to use real blood.  Haven't had a reason to visit her city yet, so I have not had to confront an actual decision just yet.  Toria, you know what kind of crazy people I hang around with, so she might not be kidding.

But my current pet peeve is models who contact me and ask to shoot, then after I respond they ask me every single one of the questions I just answered sad  Actually this has only happened once this year, but it was yesterday, so it's fresh.  Fortunately, most of my models are really very bright smile

See I don't mind the preggers pics, or really any particular style of pics, If its well done and looks good to me then its good in my book....  but then Art is subjective... you have some people that feel hustler and cherry are art mags, and others that feel the VENUS de Milo is pornography.

Now what my pet peeve is Other photographers that tell you what your camera can and cannot do, especially when they don't use that make of camera..

Toria... she has someone very specific in mind, already know who it is, and they apparently volunteered... this woman is pretty extreme, but she's also nationally known, and she's got a rep to protect, so she's not THAT nuts, she's been around for a while  smile   Not sure it will ever happen though, the last thing I need is more time on airplanes right now.

I was going to shoot a girl using real blood (the model's idea), well pigs blood, her manager put the kibosh on that pretty quickly as it was going to be in a public place and slightly messy.   But the girl had already contacted a local meat market and confirmed they would give it to her.  It was all pretty intense.

you can also add coffee grounds to make blood look crusty and dryed

I add a bit of flour. I did it once for my sisters halloween costume which was a sort of "this is how I feel about what my ex did to me" sort of outfit, lol. People actually freaked out and thought she was actually stabbed and had dry blood allover her.
