very cool, I have been thinking of doing some pinup and have been studyling the poses some, so Far I haven't had a lot of time to devote to the subject but found one commonality in almost every pose...Knees Together. Look at a variety of pinup poses you'll see what I mean.

I actually was lucky enough to find vintage beauty school books... that give me all the secrets!  Really just look at photos and try copying it... it's not that hard!

Yes actually it does! I love her hair and make-up in this photo. She almost looks like Betty Page. Plus this is something I would put in a frame and hang in my living room.

Rent/buy/borrow as many black and white movies as you can stomach and take notes.

Sorry, lack of caffeine makes me type bad things...

Remember there was no photoshop in the 30's, 40's and 50's. I was shooting in the late fifties.

One of the best ways to find out about hairstyles and clothing is to buy some of the 40's, and 50's negatives offered on ebay. I have bought several bags of these negatives for almost nothing.  They will be from mom and pop studios, and no longer wanted by the grand children.

Clothing can often be borrowed from the theater groups at small colleges. They have lots of old clothing. Thrift stores often get the right kind of lamps and sofas.

Not cheap, but the props can be sold later.

Old clothing paterns can also be bought if you can sew.
