If it was me, I'd look at the price compared to buying a new D200. I haven't, and I could be completely wrong, but my guess is the price is pretty close. And I think the D200 is a vastly superior camera. And while the 24-120mm isn't a bad lens (I owned one for three years), it's probably not one I'd pick as the ideal lens for fashion, beauty or glamour work.

Hmmm, Let's see.....

Below Average Quality Lens
Discontinued Flash
2 New Batteries
250 MG CF Card

I read the thread title and prayed to god that this wasn't going to feature a picture of some guy's crotch.

You should find out how many exposures the camera has on it. The sensors on the D1 and D1x cameras start to show bands of noise in the images once they approach the end of their usable lives. If there is a NPS, Nikon Pro Service, near you -- take the camera in and have them hook it up to their computer to check.

Not much use in that lens -- it'll frustrate you more than bring you pleasure.

Agree with Gottesman, I prayed the term "Guys and package" wasn't a  blatant cry for justifying...hmm, cough, someone's manhood.

It would depend on what exactly you are looking for.  It is an old camera which shoots, by todays standards, well below high resolution.  The lense is so-so, I use a bigger memory card in my cell phone, the flash is out-dated and discontinued.  So, if you are looking at it from the standpoint that the size and design makes it look professional, that's one thing.  However, if you are looking for something that will take hi-res images and will be up-to-date for the next 12 to 24 months, I would try someting else and build on it.
