The popularity of tattoos and piercings has grown tremendously in the past ten years.

Can amputations be far behind, perhaps the next new wave?
Be on the lookout for who is first.

OMG... This reminds me of a Nip/Tuck episode where a guy felt that he was really an amputee on the inside and wanted his leg cut off.... Kind of like he felt he was really born a woman and wanted his dank cut off.

Well... there is already that scene of people who do amputation of bodyparts as an extreme form of body modification.

You can find info on that one at http://www.bmezine.com in the BME/Extreme section (membership required)

And I am moving this to OT...

there is a really popular suicide girl that has a prosthetic leg. Amina is her name. They even put her in the CSI episode when the SGs were on the TV.

To be completely honest, the amputee thing.. as odd as it is.. doesn't bother me nearly as much as mainstreams need to be all alike. After a new fashion trends hit just about every female I see looks the same..... now that's creepy.

Me too.  Now I have a chipped front tooth.  (I'm not joking, either.  She's even here on MM (she's a photographer, btw, before anyone says something about me dating llamas).)
