Yeah, since they allow nude photography here, a lot of people take it as far as they can!  Definitely lots of nude work and glam that is not in fact artful.
I love tasteful nude work, illustrating the body in beautifully lit pictures, but many have not done that.

It's all about what you want to say for yourself and about yourself, I guess. Freedom of expression.

n.

   1. Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.

You can do sexually explicit images without the intent/purpose of sexually arousing the viewer,,,and shoot them very well.

The Puritans might consider an open mouth to be pornography.

Are you ready for the stockade?

"overwhelming majority"? I have to disagree there.

And, to each his own, eh?

Isn`t saying all explicit photographs are porn like saying all male models are homosexuals?

Convince me that thoughtless setups paired with generic car-show bodied glam-model wannabes arching their asses up towards the camera is in fact, art?

Matt

I have not seen any car show photographers call their import photos artistic, yet anyway

Actually if you study art from the ancient Roman, Egypt, India and other cultures much of it would be considered porn. Beauty and porn are both in the eye of the beholder

I just think all the completely shitty photography with naked
girls is distasteful

So is taste, and it carries weight when there's a majority
who share the same opinion... that's how we have ideas of morality, science,
empirical thought, etc.. etc.. etc.. etc.. etc.. etcc..

The problem with majority opinion is that the majority of those giving opinions are saying what they have been told, brain washed, and fear, to be the politically/theologically correct answers and not being true to their own true opinions.

I wasn't trying to say there wasn't a problem with it,
I was saying that its a truth we live with
