What is an "Anime" themed shoot? Examples?
I've seen a few people requesting to do "Anime" themed photo shoots. I know what Anime is, but what qualities or traits of Anime are people looking to reproduce in photo shoots? Can anyone shed some light for me or show an example? Even though I'm not a big fan of Anime, I'd like to see what the final product looks like. Sounds interesting... Jan 08 07 04:34 pm Link Bondo, There are anime-friendly models who will probably chime in soon but here are a few examples from me. Chobits Characters from "Bleach" and "Helsing" "Rock Lee" from the Naruto series Jan 08 07 06:10 pm Link take a trip to the comic shop or order up some netflix and see what interests you...what's your interpretation... Chobits Characters from "Bleach" and "Helsing" "Rock Lee" from the Naruto series Gothic Lolitas (NOT the same thing as the one from that book by Nabokov...that would be "lolicon"). I know, TMI. Sorry. As for an anime themed shoot, you should see a cosplay(costume play) session at an anime convention to get some ideas. Many anime characters have extensive backstories that could be used in shaping a photo session. I guess you could check anime con sites for photo examples, but you'd miss out on the con experience. Hope that this was useful. Jan 08 07 06:22 pm Link You will need a huge freakin sword that is twice as tall as the model. Jan 09 07 10:19 am Link PK Brazil wrote: LOL. True, true. In addition to the "classics" like Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon there are the newer series like "Naruto" and "Bleach." Word of warning, soap operas have nothing on the plots and sub-plots in some of the series. So don't be discouraged if you can't pick up the story lines at your first sitting. I think that you'll find anime great fun to photograph. Jan 09 07 07:25 pm Link Eric Tragedy wrote: Sorta like these....? Jan 09 07 07:34 pm Link Here is a shoot I did which is manga (which means comic) based: http://www.pelzigplatz.com/cosplay/purplemaids/ The outfits and the various set themes were pulled from the comics and thus, provided the inspiration. Jan 09 07 07:35 pm Link I've done a few anime/ cosplay shoots, check out my port for some examples. Jan 09 07 07:37 pm Link AHouston wrote: One of these days, someone will do Sephiroth justice.
