Time For College Tuition (TFCT)?
...anyone? Jan 04 07 12:42 pm Link Jan 04 07 12:44 pm Link Sure, if I could trade you the college tuition I paid way back when ($50 a semester). If you're looking for tuition at the same college today ($3,500 a semester), then you need to ask Tyler to bring back the sugar daddy ads. Nice work, by the way. Jan 04 07 01:08 pm Link Shandra wrote: All seriousness aside, I'd think that you definitely have a skill that's easily tradable. I don't know about the laws in Massachusetts, but even as a student without a license, you might be able to trade massage services for photography. I certainly wouldn't go squealing to some license commission after making a mutually beneficial trade. I doubt many photographers here bother to check the license of their MUA before a shoot, and the potential liability there is probably far greater than causing damage to someone with a massage. Jan 04 07 01:08 pm Link You know, you could do a TFM (trade for massage) if you were hiring the photographer, but I'd make sure that you knew him/her REALLY well first. This could open a whole new arena for the proverbial GWC. "Not only did I get to see her naked and take pictures, but then she gave me a massage!" Jan 04 07 01:10 pm Link You'll have to find someone in the school's faculty or staff to model for. Possibly some photographer at a scholarship foundation or something. For everyone else, it's just cash. Jan 04 07 01:10 pm Link Carpe Imago Photography wrote: certainly not advertise that in her profile, i recommend. but send the photog who you like to work with a PM and suggest that you'd work TFM won't be a bad idea. wait, she wants to get paid, not the other way around. . . never mind. Jan 04 07 01:13 pm Link Shandra wrote: Most of the models I hire are college students. So does that mean I'm paying for their books? Umm at the outrageous prices of textbooks nowadays, I'm probably not! LOL Jan 04 07 03:48 pm Link Damn, it appears to me that you are making some of your issues, issues. Spending your college money to travel don't help. I'm in school too, but I utilize that money for school, rent (if neccessary) and anything else that is school related. What I'm surprised on, is that you haven't tried to do paid only assignments. I strongly feel that you have the potential to do this. Especially since you are posing in the raw. I'd use this as an opportunity to pay some bills. Jan 04 07 04:08 pm Link Just missed me...I was shooting TFCT yesterday. Seriously, have you tried applying for a pell grant or government loans? Jan 04 07 04:27 pm Link There's a thing called a job...you can model and go to school and have one too:-) Jan 04 07 04:30 pm Link Shandra...don't get excited...have you checked into government loans where you don't need a co-signer? Jan 04 07 04:35 pm Link Susi wrote: Shandra+a job=disaster, crying spells, anxiety attacks and other fun things Jan 04 07 04:36 pm Link If we are talking a $1.5k or less I could see this happening If more, then we are in to Sugar Dadday land. At that point If someone were looking to shell out that kind of cash, they'd be looking for something more "personal" and "intimate" than pretty pics. Nothing wrong with that, if that's how you roll. From a time efficency stand point, you could scare up the cash a lot faster if you worked as a escort or a stripper than from shooting images. I had a client who was (still is?) an escort and she made a minimum of $1500 each day she worked. She usually much more than that and it was not a stretch that she could have close to $10k by the end of the week. I'M NOT SAYING for you to do that but I only bring it up for discussion sake. Jan 04 07 04:37 pm Link Use to work 3 jobs last semester. Have two now and a full time student. Tiered of it... Hummm best bet REALLY TFGS TIME FOR GRADUATION SOON! Oh well ::muhahaha:: Oh and fastweb.com has cool sources for scholarships etc. Jan 05 07 02:41 am Link |
