Unique Talent in NYC?
I just got a message from Unique Talent informing me they had an interview for me later today. I have never submitted anything to them, and found it odd that they had called. The message sounded as if I was one of their signed actors/models. I'm not sure if this "interview" is for a casting, or just an open interview they have for their agency? Does anyone have any information regarding them? I wanted to have a little information prior to calling them back. I did a google search and found very little. Jan 03 07 11:03 am Link So I spoke to the woman and it's a casting for a pharmaceutical ad. She found my pictures and phone number posted on another actor/model website. It doesn't hurt to go. The pay is $2,000. Jan 03 07 11:47 am Link Another question though... I'm embarrassed asking this. I've mostly done acting auditions, and it's been ages. I've never been on a go-see. I have my portfolio but I don't have comp cards or a headshot/resume to give them. Is that bad? Do they usually ask for a picture they can have? I had heahshots and resumes years ago, but they're out of date at this point. Ugh. Jan 03 07 11:50 am Link Rick LaKari wrote: Yes, it's bad. At commercial castings in New York they don't want to see your portfolio, although they might look at it if you offer. At the level of that job they expect to hire professional models, and professional models have comp cards. However, I'll go sideways to note the pictures the casting agent has seen of you produced the invitation. Go in to that "go see" confident and professional. I thought if I ever got signed somewhere I than get the comp cards that the agency produces. Jan 03 07 12:30 pm Link Nothing to stress over. You are what you are, they will want you or they won't. But if you plan on going to commercial castings, you need to get a commercial comp, agency or not. Jan 03 07 12:32 pm Link TXPhotog wrote: Thanks. Everyone has to start somewhere.
