Fully clothed, Lingerie, Half naked and Nudes...  OMG it's all been done before!  How 'bout, as a photographer, the ever so popular "I took a picture of me holding my camera" photographer shot???  I absolutely REFUSE!!!!  Gee whiz, buddy, make use of that automatic timer and put the camera down!  smile

What are some of the most over used/over rated poses and props out there, in your opinion?

whenever too much controll is brought in the images begin to all look the same, thats what I see with some other wise gifted photographers. they do somthing well perfect it and get stuck in a rutt.the examples of wasted photographers that have fallen victem to this are endless

Unless you were shooting the cover for a Church missal, why in God's name would you want to cover them?

With that particular smile, how can anyone think it's anything other than what it is supposed to mean!   https://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/5.gif

The belt across the breasts gets my vote.

And I know millions of photographers love them, but high heels on a nude (especially outdoors) ruins the shot for me. Every damn time.

Forget the cherry, I went to a far more "acceptable" food group - the strawberry, whip cream and chocolate syrup (that's a food group, right?) -

The pose that's cliché is the one with the model holding up the wall because she has no idea what to do with her hands.

Selective desaturation/coloring.

I like:

train tracks.
