That figure is based on what? Someone else had told me that the agencies only pay models between $65.00 and $75.00 a hour for this type of work.

She said tfp up to $150

You can pay them through a trade basis...

You can pay them all the way up to $150 and beyond depending on how valuable you and your client see they are to the work you are doing.

So $65 -$75 an hour is not bad.

It depends on your market. I have Mods that will work for $10 to $50 /w tear sheet (average around $30 )for commerical work. Long days of sitting around waiting to come on set. They always offer to help move equempment, I have to remind them that"s not there job.

I'm in a small market thow...

I find that most will do Glam stuff for TFCD.

Well then, I guess it depends on how much is the magazine offering you.

Most models would shoot for free to be on a magazine, regardless if it's a small magazine or not.

Maxim magazine pays around $150.00 for a whole day of shooting for their
editorials.  I think that $20.00 per hour and a tear sheet seems fair.  If you
are making something.  If you are not then just a tear sheet.  One question I
noticed some of your images seem a bit fuzzy.  Are they scanned images from
film or digital?

Man, why ask us?

Like real estate, the three most important factors in deciding what are the appropriate rates are location, location, location.

Models in Ohio tend to get paid differently from models in NYC or L.A.  I'm guessing that the competition between models is higher in NYC or L.A. than in Ohio, so it might be safe to say that NYC or L.A. models are better than Ohio models, and they get paid more than Ohio models.

So, why use NYC or L.A. rates for Ohio models in Ohio?

I'm a big advocate of forming a local community of photographers & models, and one of the things you can discuss is modeling rates.  It is better to ask other Ohio photographers about their rates than to ask a worldwide audience like Model Mayhem.

So, ask your local photographers.
