Am I allowed to do this?

Dec 31 06 04:32 am Link Mike Walker wrote: Were this the critique section, I would acknowledge that statement. : ) Dec 31 06 04:33 am Link It doesnt matter how olf you are if you like the work you do. I was dam proud of my macaroni Christmas trees when I was young and still would be if my dog didn't eat them. But karma came back for eating my trees in the form of explosive diahhrea for her lol. Oh...poor doggie... Anyways, it is all subjective hey? The photos themselves in question don't do anything for me, but if he is happy about his work, and has people who think the same why does it matter how old he is? Dec 31 06 04:36 am Link Primal Lens wrote: Sure, acknowledged. Dec 31 06 04:43 am Link I guess I could have just commented on how great I thought his work was on his page.... but something just made me want to start a thread about how much I loved his photos. hrmmm. Dec 31 06 05:27 am Link Mike Walker wrote: There is no age limit for photographers. I was talking about the 16 yearsold model, she looks great. But its harder to build a successful career in modeling if you are 70. Dec 31 06 02:02 pm Link I am over 60....... Today I don't buy ripe bannas but I still schedule shoots for models! Dec 31 06 02:18 pm Link Okay..... my girlfriend caught me typing that and insisted that I tell the truth.... I'm 61 ! So there Dec 31 06 02:21 pm Link I think that the pictures are amazing. Some people are just born with an exceptional talent. In many cases, age is not an issue. This kid is amazing, and better than a lot of older photographers. Talent is talent...if you saw those photographs without knowing the age of the artist, what would you think of the work? Whoever started this post was awesome to bring attention to a young talent such as him. Imagine how exceptional he will be when he is older and has more experience. Dec 31 06 02:23 pm Link Somebody get this kid some models. Not that he needs any, he could fill a book with his little sister. When he gets some film we're all in trouble. Dec 31 06 02:25 pm Link that style reminds me of the 60s and 70s. The color, mood, the composition etc. Dec 31 06 02:27 pm Link Mhana wrote: Thank you. They are also clean and uncluttered. Besides, Polka Dots are to die for! Dec 31 06 02:55 pm Link C David Stephens wrote: Being a photographer isn't all about shooting naked chicks. You GOTTA love this kid. How he gets images to look like those you would find in a shoebox in the top of your moms closet is wonderful. Jan 01 07 11:43 am Link its pretty neat. it shows off what a good camera can do, I suppose. Jan 01 07 01:56 pm Link Matt, If you're achieving these results with a digital camera, then keep at it. I'm a film guy, but I'm old. Digital is the future, and so are you. You might want to give it a try, but you have plenty of time. As far as models, you already have some great ones, your little sister is darling and soulful, and you don't really need professional ones, although they will come. You can find art and humanity everywhere, in anyone. Keep up the good work. Jan 01 07 04:29 pm Link This kid probably has more talent in his pinky finger, than I have in my entire body! I'm amazed. His work is beautiful, and it's almost like he's not even trying, but still making art! Jan 02 07 09:25 am Link |
