No you aren't bad at all my friend smile Just the time of the year I guess.....well how are you presenting yourself? Also to what audience are you presenting yourself? Are you looking for TFP shoots? I was forced to ask myself why, vision and cool images few will pay for, and building a portfolio based on that same work that everyone wants for free.....why? I started paying models for content I can sell or use commercially.....I have a need, I pay, and am not expected to provide portfolio material, and I make money. If others need my services, I am for hire. You shoot for a magazine as well.....build on that and forget all the TFP nonsense smile

I  was just wondering , as that it seems there are few folks  want to see my work, and you know how us photogs are, we like some type of gratification....people to
say we are good or bad or just ok.

From your profile:

I am located in Jacksonville Fla. I have 20 + yrs exp shooting models, commercial, advertising, and portraits. Shoot with hi res digtial or film if needed. I have been published locally and nationally.

.

And you're having trouble getting a shoot now?  I imagine that the same tactics that got you all of that during the first 20+ years would still apply presently...

I would revamp your profile, not your port.   We are not judged merely by the content of our port here.

What is your angle.   What is your unique selling propostion.  What sets you apart from the crowd.   Define who you are.

Have  you used the browse function?  I'm sure there are plenty of young women in florida looking for a quality addition to thier port.   Sometimes you have to hunt, sometimes you are the hunted.

I personally wouldn't shoot with you unless you paid me but it's for stylistic reasons, you aren't a bad photographer.

I see photos in your portfolio that have people in them.

So, someone must want to work with you.

Hi George,  Do you know that no one wants to shoot with me either?  hmm   I think it's the time of the year?  Or maybe because I'm one of the photographers who insists on escorts?  So I can shoot them too!  tongue

It's going to get better ... way better in 2007!  I feel it!  Happy New Year!

i get snubbed by models comming in from out of town
i have models come from as far away as boston and california to work with me
although i figure im somewhere smack dab in the middle of average
i do make some pretty good green doing this..

so no..the only positive affirmation i need is that retainer check...

Stop begging Man!  No model wants to shoot with a desperate photographer.  They'll think you're too 'clingy'.
