advice on runway walk?
Hi, just looking for some friendly advice about walking down a runway. Dec 29 06 09:08 pm Link AndrewDS wrote: Walk. Dec 29 06 09:24 pm Link If there is music playing, don't move to every beat, keep your own rythm in your head. Hard to give tips, easier to say "no, that's wrong, don't do that." Maybe someone else will have more zen advice. Dec 29 06 09:36 pm Link Men's runway is much more forgiving than women's. Basic info: start with your feet at 12 and 2. Step off with the 2 o'clock foot. Keep it relaxed and natural unless asked to do something else. If you want information on turns, you can probably find more on Google... But I find the most useful things to know before going out are: 1) the shape and length of the runway 2) how much time you need to spend out there Those will help you plan your walk. Dec 31 06 04:08 am Link well thanks a lot for the advice, I am going to audition for DC fashion week, and have already auditioned once, with no success, but was invited back to try again... one little question i have is, should i make eye contact with any of the judges when i pose at the end of the runway or ever? thanks again for all the advice, you don't know how much it means to me, i really am hoping this leads somewhere in this new year~~! Jan 01 07 12:47 am Link Wait,,,the guys don`t have to do the stomp thing? Jan 01 07 12:55 am Link Julia wrote: Bwahahahaha!! This is by FAR my favourite piece of advice! Jan 17 07 09:37 pm Link Ahhh, Junior Zoolander....your journey does indeed begin with but a single step. I'm still trying to get my mind around DC and Fashion Week being used in the same sentence. But then again, I've heard something about LA and Fashion Week, so I guess anything, no matter how incredulous, is possible (Heisenberg would be proud!). Many are knock-kneed and don't know it. Count your paces and know where your marks are. You should be able to count down your paces to your turn. Jan 18 07 01:20 am Link Sshhhhhh! I wasn't opening my mouth about "DC Fashion Week." John Fisher wrote: Jan 18 07 01:22 am Link |
