Emotive Photography wrote: My point, is as written; 'I have determined the difference by attitude and professionalism." well, the real difference lies in motivation as provided by others. agency models are motivated to gear everything toward paid assignments as that's what keeps agency doors open. they are guided by those seeking compensated assignment, agents. internet models are typically motivated toward simply taking pictures for building a portfolio without a true understanding of what that brings other than more nice pictures. they are guided by those seeking to take pictures, photographers. --face reality

I DID read this thread.....and you mostly assume that internet models are NOT professional.....if it all bopils...or did you mean boils down to...professionalism. It didn't matter if you said the word hate....you make it seem like we are all beneath you and your agency models. You assume that all of us who still work TFP must be flakey...and surely me....seeing as I have modeled for three years....and I do few paid shoots. I accept them, but with TFP, I can work with alot of great photographers. Now did you read my post or skim over it like the last one?

Emotive Photography wrote: I have had many conversations with model and photographers on the differences between "internet models" and "agency models" and we all agree on one major thing; professionalism! Internet models derive the majority of their shoots off of sites like this one. The majority are TFP and the majority are lacking the true modeling skills and have a greater prepensity to now-show or flake, NOT ALL DO Agency models are signed models, usually between 5'8" and 6'0" (varies) and are better skilled at the craft and are uaually on time and prepared I have determined the difference by attitude and professionalism. I hardly think that a Houston model who flaked on me 3 times for a TFP shoot is a model, internet, agency or otherwise. Now lets see how many of your actually READ this and take it in the vein it was intended and not as a personal attack! yes, but how are thier spelling skills? on a par with yours?

What I said was that they should not be defiend by if they are signed or not, they should be defined by professionalism and respect. The majority of the models I work with are off the internet, and love them all and they me. What I said what simple; one cannot define a model base don being signed or not,,,,there is MORE to it than just that

So, the same model flakes on you three times, but instead of realizing you were probably stupid for constantly rehiring her, you come in here and make a rant that really makes you look worse than the "internet models" you speak of. Honestly, I can have pity on a photographer who is flaked on by different models, but one who lets the same one do it over and over is just foolish.
