as part of their business? I do and I guess maybe I'd like to know what gear people use (brands, quantities, etc.) and what types of work you get (industrial, commercial, residential). I have AB lighting. 6 strobes in all. 2 canon bodies, and use the 16-35mm almost exclusively. Two sets of grids, lightboxes and umbrellas. White sheets, you name it. I have the AB Vagabond 300 also but usually only use that for people shots out in the wilderness somewhere.

Anyway, just curious.

Ya quite a bit of exteriors and interiors. Used to use 4x5 mainly from 47mm on up now digital gets the majority of work. today a  D2x, 12mm on up. Bunches of strobes. Got into hot lights, used some but never liked the color issues and much too much power draw. Not enough control compared to flash. When using 4x5 you need big flash, I have have 4 3200 packs. Today though with digital half a dozen AB 1600 work and no circuit breakers popping.

Last on is a showroom and not a house.

I haven't done any yet, but it's required part of my major. Fashion, architecture, portriat, people, documentary, etc..I have to take all of these majors that are careers for photographers on here and off.

I shoot architectural, but I shoot externals and nightscapes. So for me, I just need a tripod and either 27-70 or 70-200 on my Canon 5D. And a thermos flask.

Edit: Eww, that's come out really small and ick.

I try to get the most out of natural light usually.
I get few major/decent clients per year...if they like my style of course.
I shoot film.
