The two of us literally know everything about fashion---not to blow our own horns or such, but we can tell you almost anything about designers and references from yesterday & today. From what season it was made, to who it was referenced from---we know it!

We also study fine-art and fashion photography and know all about art-history, which is a great advantage for shooting.

VagaBondnyc specializes in vintage clothing and accessories from the 60s-90s. Run by fashion industry kids-a stylist and editor –and her younger, perpetually culturally and aesthetically spot-on partner in crime –with unlimited access to current and future fashion news and trends. Though we carry mostly vintage, our buy is edited to reflect our understanding of contemporary fashion's indebtedness to the past.
We buy, style and shoot everything on our site in order to create and maintain a specific vision.

Each month our site features our vintage finds in editorials we create in order to bring the clothes to life and give the viewer/consumer inspiration above and beyond what s/he might get from a basic product shot. Our monthly editorials reflect current trends as we see then and, in using only vintage garments demonstrate how, with a little bit of thought-provoking tweaking, twisting and styling, these things can be worn out on the street today and look completely current, forward even. This also doubles as a great format for us to express our current points of view and further allows us to play with the historical connotations from clothing of the past and present.

One of us has worked as a fashion editor for Madamoiselle, Teen Vogue & Vogue and has directed numerous luxury campaign ads, and numerous editorial shoots(commercial and fashion).

While the other has styled for The Dallas Morning News Fashion Section(yes it is actually a highly respected fashion section!), Paper Magazine, The New York Times, and has worked on numerous editorial shoots as well as look-book shoots.
