About Me

Hi MM. My name is Latrice (Loukie) Lewis. I am a current fashion design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology and I am the designer and constructor of my clothing line labeled Loukie. Designing is my passion and how I express my creativity. The name Loukie originated when I was a child. It was a nickname that carried with me throughout my life. I decided to name my clothing line Loukie because it gives me the feeling of when I was young and free of worries and actions. I like to look back at that name as a way to feel free, and that's how I feel when I am designing and constructing my clothing.

I am inspired mostly by vintage/classic mens and womens wear including suits, 19th century bustle periods, corsety, etc
