For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed taking pictures. From the simple camera I was given as a little kid, to the advanced equipment that I now shoot with, photography has been a lifetime passion of mine. Professionally, I spent fourteen years working with community gardeners in New York City before transitioning my career to photography. Through this work I learned how to listen carefully, observe fully, and interact with kindness. I bring all of these skills and experiences to my photography, and still maintain my deep connection to New York’s community gardens and gardeners. With my experience working within progressive and radical nonprofits, I’m dedicated to crafting images that advance movements for social change, support progressive nonprofits, and boost community based organizations.

I specialize in creative and traditional portraits set outdoors and in the studio that highlight character and personality. To accomplish this I work with individuals and organizations to find the setting that fits their desired look and mood, whether working on formal or contextual (environmental) portraits.
