About Me

Growing up, my brothers always told me “stop being such an actress.” If I had to do it all over again, I would have pursued a career in acting. I love being in front of the camera - any camera. I started modeling at the age of 15. Back in those days, we only had Barbizon School of Modeling. The school was fantastic. They taught runway, editorial, fashion, hair, makeup, poise, etiquette and acting, to name a few. I became a hair model for a well-known salon in New Orleans and also participated in runway shows. In college, I modeled not only for JC Penney, but also had the privilege and honor of modeling for Playboy for the “Girls of the SEC” edition. Being just over five feet tall, I knew modeling would not be my career.

I am passionate about being healthy and like to stay active and in shape for my own well-being. I do AcroYoga, a physical practice that combines yoga and acrobatics. I am called a flyer since I am very small, and the AcroYoga partner that I “fly” on is called a base. I’ve been practicing for a little over 2 years. You have to learn to let go and give complete and total trust to your base; after all, they are tossing you in the air, spinning you around on their feet, and I am upside down in the air most of the time. I practice AcroYoga 2 or 3 times a week, while also working with my personal trainer twice a week at the gym.

I actually put my modeling “hat” back on a couple of years ago. I am usually doing a photo shoot every weekend. Most of my shoots are TFP. I do this because I enjoy it, it keeps me fresh and on point and I enjoy working with people in general. I am a people person so I bring a very light, fun-filled spirit to every shoot, and the photographers feed off of that energy. We always have a great time with lots of laughs and in the end, create some beautiful art together. I have actually turned down paid shoots. I’m not in it for the money or fame - I enjoy being in front of the camera and it’s actually therapeutic for me. I am looking to work with more photographers by joining Model Mayhem to expand my portfolio.

The words I live by…“Be yourself. Let your inner-self come out. We are all beautiful human beings no matter how we’re made up - age, height, size, color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preferences, background. Life is a blessing and you only have one chance at it…SO MAKE IT COUNT!!!”
