Hey reader!
My name is Kevin Shanmugam, and I am a cinematographer/photographer. I love every aspect of camera work. I am currently a Sophomore at San Diego State University on route to achieve a major in Film Production with an emphasis in cinematography. I'm not what one would consider "professional" in the field of photography, but I put in as much passion that can fit inside a lens as possible, and then some. I have gone on several photo shoots with mainly friends and family. I have experience with strobes, master & slave lights. I'm very easy going and extremely flexible with timing, and I will re-edit and re-edit a picture until whomever the client is likes what I put out. My goal is to empower my portfolio so that I can one day become a professional photographer and get hired by big names to do model/photo shoots. The reason I joined MM is because my friend/model/awesome person was dumbfounded when I told her that I had never heard of MM, so now I am here. I love nothing more than snapping pictures and bringing them back into Photoshop to unveil their true potential and then seeing the face of the model when they question whether that beauty on the screen is actually them. I try not to over edit photos, so you can still see the humanistic values of the model. But then again, I'm very adept with Photoshop; and if requested, I will reconstruct anything. But only on request, because one of my flaws is that I see beauty in everything, so it's hard for me to sometimes see the minute flaws that "society" sets the standard for.
