MADDADAN

With so many artists out there trying to make their mark in the music industry, many people ask, “What makes you different?” Some answer back with style and grace, others solely rely upon the written/spoken words of their lyrics hoping to influence the minds of today’s youth with fresh ideals and such. Despite whatever route they might take, being more than just a dot in this world definitely takes one thing and that’s diversity.

Although his music career didn’t really started until the age of 20, Robert Alexander Wilson, also known as Maddadan, was heavily influenced by the arts, especially music. His diversity has led him on a path of becoming a strong prospect in the music industry, not only in the genre of reggae, but being capable to transfer his experiences and styles to other genres such as Dancehall, Rap and R&B. Someone who is able to transition so flawlessly in the music industry is saying a lot not only about their talent, but their character as well. As cliché as it may sound, Maddadan is man on a mission, and he will not disappoint those who are constantly in search for something daring and unique.

Maddadan was born in the United States of America, but raised like a true Jamaican. His love for music has been with him before he could even walk. He grew up to be a jack-of-all-trades pursuing his interests in the mediums of art, music, film and more. Before experimenting with reggae, he had his success in the alternative rock genre as a guitarist in a local band. That experience added more drive and determination for him to make it as an artist. During his high school years, Maddadan transitioned from an alternative rocker to a dancehall phenomenon among his high school peers. This transition took him from the dance floor to the mic. and everything after that was just pure triumph.

In 2008 Maddadan started off his year with performances at such venues and shows like Club Amazura and Gt Taylor Christmas Extravaganza consecutively for years. Given the opportunity to be interviewed on radio stations like Hot 102, WAVS 1170 AM, Sun City Radio, Bess FM, Flame FM, Irrie Fm, just to name a few. Maddadan biggest supporters are his Strugglas and Strugglets aka his true fans. In the 2011 interview back home at Jamaica, Captain Kirk stated that, “Maddadan reminded him of a young Buju Banton.” The only way the artist sitting across him could respond is with a few humble laughs and an appreciation for such a compliment as that. In the year 2010, Maddadan went from having one foot in the door, to making an international name for himself. Introducing to the public popular tracks like “This Prayer”, “My Mama” and Chill Tonight”, Maddadan has no plans on stopping this forward motion. With tours around the United States and Jamaica W.I, it wasn’t until one day he found himself appearing in Jamaica’s STAR magazine and Gleaner. He was able to get an opportunity of a lifetime - which is to make his presence known not only on stage, but in the written media as well.

Maddadan song entitled “Boss Man” that was produced, written, composted, mix and master by Robert “Maddadan” Wilson himself has graced the new movie “Jamaican Mafia” as the official sound track. Maddadan also is currently working on his very own movie entitled “Boss Man” that is to be filmed some time in 2016. Maddadan continues to keep a level head and stays focus on his path and goals he instills a high meditation that is not apart of this world for he is on a spiritual journey.

Maddadan also edited music videos, photos, write movies, manage multi companies and help others naturally to obtain a higher understand of life itself.

Now at the age of 26, the Award Winning (Sing Jay, producer, composer, movie star and production company owner) has gained many achievements over the journey of 7 years. A hard worker and a strong believer in turning your dreams into reality, he’s a young man with a promising career, a strong leader in his own label company Eva Fresh Labels which is powered by EVA FRESH CORP. Maddadan is just a laid back guy taking the pursuit of happiness internationally and helping others to do the same.
