Makario’s lust for life permeates all of his undertakings. Described as comedic, entertaining and animated, this young 20 something artist expresses himself through his photography, infusing technique and creativity. Commencing his voyage in the visual arts, Makario was an art major focusing on painting and charcoal creations, and actually originally dreamed of being a cartoonist. His desire to learn about his passions was not limited to art. An avid sports car enthusiast, Makario earned a diploma in auto mechanics and plans to further his studies in auto body in the fall.
Makario became immersed in photography after helping his father for several years in the family’s videography business. After hearing his father speak of his desire to branch into photography, Makario purchased his first camera primarily to make his father jealous and to push him into pursuing his goal of expanding the business. Makario first self-studied the craft for a year, teaching himself the proper use of the tools of the trade before starting Virtue Photography and arranging his first photoshoot in 2009. The company evolved further to By Makario A. Gibson.
