The OMG is coming up SOON (Sunday, April 20). Since you previously stated your interest in attending, here's a note with a few reminders:
We'll be at Wekiwa Springs State Park from 8am to sunset. The park will, if it gets too full, make temporary closures based on the park's capacity, so getting there early will ensure that won't be a problem for you. I expect that the busiest times for the park will be in the middle of the day.
Bring your book or portfolio, with your name on it! Showing others your work is a great way to break the ice and introduce yourself.
Bring a lawn chair as seating in the pavilion will be limited considering the number of attendees we expect (well over 100).
Bring bug spray!
This is a cookout, so come prepared to eat and share. Whether you bring something to throw on the grill, chips, fruit, dessert, soda or a side dish, it's all about the potluck!
Alcohol is not allowed in the park.
Bring a cooler, particularly if you're bringing a food item that should be kept chilled until time to eat.
If you want to shoot that day, I highly suggest going through the list of attendees and contacting parties with whom you'd like to work and scheduling a shoot time or two.
