Greetings all!

Oh my... Just logging on for the first time in... lets go with a few years. Would love to knock the cobwebs off and add some new shots to the ole portfolio! (Please note - a few of my photos are watermarked with Heather Coy - that was my married name and I am no longer using it)

A little bit about me: I made the big switch to digital several years ago, but still love the texture of film, and still shoot with it from time to time. I’m working on getting my own studio space at the moment; sharing or borrowing others is just not working well for me and making it difficult to rebuild a portfolio. I have previously worked in several studios (was hired at 17 to be a boudoir photographer), and also worked as a wedding photographer. Photography is not currently my main source of income; my “day job” is as a paramedic. Being a paramedic and a photographer is kinda like working out different muscle groups at the gym, I do my life or death critical thinking at work, but with my photography I get to work out the artistic side of my brain! Hopefully it helps to keep me more balanced;-P

My style:

~ I would probably best describe my style as leaning towards documentary
~ I like natural light when possible
~ I don’t use a lot of Photoshop (will fix skin imperfections and the like, but there will not be a ton of post processing)
~ I like things that are not the "norm"

Shoots I would like to do:

*Anything circus or side show related (contortion, fire performers, strength acts, you name it!)
*dia de los Muertos or anything Day of the Dead related
*Contrasts (very tall and very short people together, blond beauty with a Goth/sinister looking guy…)
*Strong makeup
*Pinup
*Steampunk
*anything we can dream up! I'm tired of vanilla.

So, like I said, I am working on building a new portfolio, but it seems to be a slow process... anyone want to shoot?

** I think the human form is beautiful and enjoy working with people who are comfortable with their bodies, however, if you contact me to shoot nudes and come off as creepy, know I will at the very least have one of my Cop friends accompany me on our shoot.
