I didn’t date much in school. While my classmates were fooling around in dark rooms, I was experimenting in a darkroom. My pictures were always in the paper or the yearbook. I was yearbook editor one year. When I got to Southeast Asia, I was supposed to be a fighter pilot; but I still found time to get my pictures in the paper. I once volunteered for an EB-66 mission up to Haiphong. My story and pictures made a full two page centerfold. But, after “Nam” I found that the Lord does not always take you where you think you want to go. Now it’s almost 40 years later and here I am trying to pick up a camera again. Composition, texture, light, and shadow have not changed; but my skills are rusty; and this whole digital thing means I have to start all over. My work is just not up to the standard of what I see on this site; so rather than call myself a photographer, I will just model the Mature Male.

My posing experience all comes from live theater. I was bitten by the stage bug at 10 and was in shows all the way through grad school. Engineering students are not supposed to have time for such foolishness but what the heck. Someone has to make the top half of the class possible. In the last couple of years of school, I was in several major productions, including Once Upon a Mattress, Oliver, and the opera Faust.

I’d be happy to work with anyone on either side of the camera. And, I am totally open to criticism. I'll take any help I can get.
