Hi there. TZM here. I got into photography from some pretty strange sources. I find the work of filmmakers to be far more inspiring than the work of photographers. I imagine David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, or even Wes Anderson as I am looking through my lenses. I lack the patience to create films, so I try to pack a little bit of a story into a photo.

I enjoy working with models with character. I would much rather shoot a Suicide Girls spread than an airbrushed Playboy fiasco. I like to imagine the story that good tattoos try to tell.

Since I work for Trans-Allegheny and Pennhurst, I have access to some of the best locations you can imagine.

After several years of working for Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, I ended up getting lucky enough to work with Pennhurst State School, doing their photography work. It allows me to really be dark and creative.
