Biography


It was 20 years ago as Tamboly got his first camera and started to discover the fascination of photography by experimenting and observing, Tamboly developed a unique artistic vision considering the importance of light and color coordination in photography.
  
1996 he joined the „Faculty of Applied Arts Helwan“ where he studied for the next 5 years advertising, printing & publishing in the light photography department.

November 2001 he gained the bachelor of applied arts and sciences (BAAS)
2002 he started working as an art teacher in a primary school. He also started as a freelancer and got involved in the art scene by participating in a wide range of photo salons, group exhibitions, biennales and festivals. He went as well on diverse photographic trips through Sinai, Jordan, Syria,
Switzerland, Cyprus and Turkey.
 
2003 he gained a professional diploma in graphics, afterwards he worked as an event photographer for different kinds of festivals in Zürich, Switzerland.
March 2004 Tamboly held his second solo exhibition that was a  great
success with a wide coverage from the media and several interviews
on international TV.

Tamboly started working with medium format cameras developing his style. Later he was offered the „Certificate of Vocational Achievements“ from Mamoun International University  for his outstanding achievements in the field of photography.
 
December 2004 he was asked to take part in a huge project from the Sound & Light co. in Egypt, where he created new documentation and creative
visuals  of the Sound and Light shows in Karnak, Fiela and Abou Simbel.
2005 he was granted the photography prize from the French Cultural Centre in “rencontre de l'image festival”. Tamboly donated five of his photographs to the House of Humour and Satire Gabrovo in Bulgaria.

He became an offer from the Lounge Magazine to take over the interior
section and the photo reportaging from different events. He later moved to
Germany and started to co-operate and work with various  artists, fashion designers, businesses and organisations in Europe and worldwide.

2006 he resumed working with motion pictures and video production, since then he produced various movies and video clips.

since 2002 Tamboly participated in numerous contests,  group exhibitions, salons, festivals and biennales around the globe.

2009 he held a successful solo exhibition tour named „Timeless’’, a part of the exhibition visited the Wave Gothik Treffen Festival in Leipzig as well
