I believe that all humans carry and express themselves through their eyes, expressions, movements, bodies and skin far greater than through words and conversation. I learned this far before I ever became interested in the art of photography. My passion is not for life through the lens so much as for life in, and of itself. Thus far, My journey has landed on Photography as a medium for telling this story.

My journey with photography started more than 20 years ago while in high school by becoming exposed to film and dark room techniques. It was a second-hand "Pentax ME Super" that started it all. Rather than turning to photography for a career, I kept it as a creative outlet and escape from the day-to-day. I chose never to marry photography with "paying the bills", thus allowing myself to approach it from an energy and life perspective, rather than a routine necessity.

ModelMayhem represents, to me, an opportunity to find the best in others through my lens. I'm not here for money, or notoriety. My goal has never been to take as many pictures as possible, nor is it to be published as often as possible. I'm here to heighten the possibility of encountering that elusive capture that allows it's subject to see into themselves and to afford other viewers the same. If I were only ever to achieve a handful of the most passionate photos I could, rather than thousands of routine portraits, I would finish my experience with photography positively.
