I moved to Maine from Washington state in 2021 and am actively seeking collaborative relationships with local models to create both photographic and traditional art. I have now added some of my paintings to my portfolio so that those interested have some reference for what I do. My profile below details what to expect when working with me so if you are interested I highly recommend reading through it as it should answer most of your questions. I am a portrait/figurative artist (I draw/paint) that also happens to enjoy the relatively instant gratification of photography. While my paintings and drawings focus on portraiture and figurative work, I tend to photograph anything that catches my eye. That said my goal in working with models is to create artwork expressive of sensuality, emotion, color, light, and the beauty of the female form while enjoying the collaborative process between the model and myself. Integrity, common courtesy, clear and prompt communication, and a creative nature are always helpful when contacting me about a shoot. At this point I wish to go over how I typically work with models so there should not be any surprises the day of a shoot. I do this for creative pleasure only and not for monetary profit, so I usually only work for trade, preferring to work with those who are motivated and inspired by creativity rather than money. I provide you with edited and web sized images as you see in my portfolio (generally within about a week by email). Please respect my desire to keep money out of the equation and do not ask me for pay. For studio work I set up space in my home where I know and can control the light, typically shooting in the afternoon. Shoots generally take 2 to 3 hours, and you are welcome to bring an escort, but I would need to know ahead of time. I will also need you to sign a model release and provide valid ID.
