I have lived San Luis Obispo (SLO) since 1971. I have a beautiful wife and three kids. I started doing photography in middle school and have loved it ever since.

Recently, I had the pleasure of being contacted by a lovely young woman who was nearly 9 mos pregnant. Her husband and young son joined us for a shoot here in SLO. We had a blast, it was so much fun and we were able to shoot some very creative, natural, outdoorsy pictures. My wife and I were honored when she invited us to the hospital to meet her brand new daughter. She (Julia) recommended that I subscribe to this site. I have done several progression shoots of expectant mothers beginning in the first trimester all the way up to the due date. I hope to maximize the exposure of my work here on model mayhem. April 19th, 2009 my husband and I discovered I was pregnant. Fast forward to April 29th, and he was boarding military aircraft with the 1st Calvary Division bound for Iraq. I had not pictured myself carrying our first child without my husband to share in the trials and tribulations of pregnancy. How was I going to give him a sense of being here? How was I going to make him feel included, when he was half way across the world? The answer was Slo Shots. Mark captured the progression of my pregnancy in stunning photographs, which he uploaded to his website, enabling my husband to see them as if he was here with me. He even provided me with a CD of the pictures so that I could mail it to my husband .Mark has been very professional and courteous, which makes the photo shoots very comfortable and carefree. Also he is very accommodating when it comes to scheduling and locations. Mark has great concepts and ideas which help enhance the final product….an amazing picture.



I know my husband and I are grateful for the opportunity to work with Mark. The photos help to ease the burden of us being apart. It is comforting to us knowing that just because my husband is serving overseas, doesn’t mean he should feel like he is missing out. He gets to see the growth month by month, just as if he were here. If I had it to do all over again, I would definitely choose to work with Mark Frice of Slo Shots.
