SUMMARY:
I've been exploring portraiture - specifically, aspects of nude and semi-nude portraiture - after 14 years of shooting scenery and architecture. I'm always looking to build my experience and challenge myself, so I'm always looking for new talent with whom to work. Because shooting fine art nude is a hobby of mine and not a paying gig, at this time I cannot offer paid work. If you are interested in shooting Time for Print or Time for Portfolio, I'm happy to discuss an arrangement. I'm always looking for models who are willing to work on various projects that I've stowed away in my head dealing with various themes that can be seen in my work - nudity versus nakedness versus self expression, human intimacy, and female empowerment. If you're interested in any of these themes, please feel free to inquire - hopefully we can work something out that is mutually beneficial; professionally, and creatively satisfying. Periodically, I have a lighting assistant/bard on set to help with set re-arrangement et al. If this poses a problem, please don't hesitate to mention it - whether it be being uncomfortable with another stranger in the room or a rightful prejudice against bards, I won't judge. The models I have worked with on a one-on-one (and some of those who remember me from shootouts) speak highly of the energy, attitude, and humor I bring to the set. Whether they're just being kind about the humor, I can't say, but I do try to keep things moving and fun. Sometimes this involves really obscure trivia, when appropriate. FRIEND REQUESTS: If you send me a blind friend request (a request without prior contact), I will most likely deny it. Please do not take it personally, but I try to use my friends list as a means of managing my current and prospective professional contacts. Likewise, I do not send blind friend requests - if I do so, it's because 1) I've forgotten that we haven't spoken yet, and 2) I am interested in future collaboration. I apologize in advance if you are reading this because of such a faux pas. Also, I'm not nearly this stern and grouchy-sounding during shoots. I just hate deleting friend requests without having an explanation to which to point. I also hate dangling participles (not a euphemism) in my own writing. ESCORTS: I don't have a problem with them, as long as s/he doesn't interfere with the shooting. In fact, if s/he is willing to help with moving furniture and adjusting lighting, so much the better! I've never had an instance occur where a model brought an escort along, and I'm pretty sure that they didn't feel afterwards like an escort would be necessary. That said, if you are more comfortable with an escort being present, then I will be more comfortable with your escort being there to ease your peace of mind. ON PM's: I love hearing from people who want to work with me. It's an honor to me - really. All I ask is that if you PM me, please specify whether you are looking for paid work, are interested in TF*, or are looking for a photog to hire to see your concept through. If it's the last of those three, I can promise that my rates are highly competitive and fair. Other Notes: I have a motor disorder that makes it somewhat difficult to change to/from certain shooting positions and tends to make me limit my time standing on a shoot. (As one model recently remarked in jest, "Uh oh, the photographer's already sitting down!") At times, the same condition makes me tremor; or, more accurately, the tremor is what makes certain shooting positions difficult and some (crouching, for instance) nearly impossible. It's not a big deal, honestly - I only mention it so I don't look *quite* as lazy when I grab a chair or stool early in the shoot. If there's something in particular you'd like on hand for the shoot (I'm sorry, no ponies), please let me know a few days in advance so I remember. TESTIMONIALS: "This has been the most fun shoot I've ever had!" "This was the best shoot of my trip, and a great way to wrap things up." "Okay - this might be the strangest implied nude I've ever done." - Artemis Bare "Is he...is he playing 'Total Eclipse of the Heart?'" - Artemis Bare (And yes, my bard was, in fact, playing Total Eclipse of the Heart, resulting in an impromptu duet mid-shoot. To spare the model, I did not sing.) Verified Credits (0)Worked with Shadowstep Images? Share your experience and become verified! Add Credits
