While pursuing a degree in graphic design at the U of MN, I fell in love with photography.  I was able to broaden and sharpen my natural creative abilities through the fine art-based community in Minneapolis, but still craved more technical knowledge, especially in regard to fashion....so after graduation, I headed out to CA to attend Brooks Institute, where I tackled the commercial side of the genre.  I did hair styling, makeup and wardrobe for a few years in MPLS (and consequently for all of my shoots there as well), so I'm very "well-rounded" when it comes to the planning and production side of my shoots; ie... I know what I want and I'm pretty particular about getting it. 

However, FUN is also mandatory!!!  For me, the bottom line of this amazing "work" we do is simply to facilitate our expression of creativity and/or whatever is inside of our souls, and the best way to do that effectively (in my opinion) is to stay open-minded, respectful, and remember not to take it all too seriously;-)
