Hi, I'm Saën

I'm a dual national (Aussie & Belgian) photographer/cinematographer that just moved back to Brisbane after working in Europe for 5 years. Trying to build a bit of an Australian based network to work with on a regular basis, both on personal creative projects and paid jobs I need to source models for.

Mainly looking for people to collaborate with on some of my photo & film series'.
A big part of my personal projects is letting the model have their input in the creative process and concept as well. Nothing makes me more proud of an image if I can recognise both my own the model's/crew's passion in it.

How I shoot:
Before we really get into the photographing, I like to take the time to get to know a bit about the model. This allows me to understand how to approach and direct them. This isn't a requirement but it sure helps break the ice if the model isn't a seasoned professional.
One of the things I love about photography is you get to connect with people and create something that is the result of both parties' efforts.
For a casual portrait session I prefer to let things flow naturally, even if we're shooting a specific concept, that way an idea can grow organically and those are the shots I love best. But I always have a moodboard on hand to help things along if needed.
