Location: Shelton, Washington, right after a parade. I took this myself with a tripod and timer, photoshopped with the WW2 Signal Corps insignia they used during the war. The M1928A1 Thompson IS original, but deactivated...

This was when Jeeps were rugged, well made and easy to work on.

Well done. I have a similar photo of my dad in France shortly after the Normandy landing.

In the early 1970's U.S. Army it was a big no no to call this vehicle a "jeep". To the big green army machine, at the time, it was a "M-151".

....Sigh....I'm not gonna be able to leave just yet. The kinda shot I wish I'd done when I had access to class 3 Thompsons and my own Uzi (I knew a couple of class 3 dealers, including one who did movie work in Marietta). They stilll shot. THis is very well done of course. Right out of "A Bridge too far".
