September 22, 2008 6:45am Thomas, this is truly wonderful -- the model, the light, the whole feel of the piece is just perfect. Congratulations to both of you.
September 22, 2008 12:41am I've noticed that here on MM it's considered some sort of special compliment when someone says a photograph "looks like a painting." But this gorgeous portrait is very painterly in style, which you well know. But it's the manner in which you've used chiaroscuro to sculpt your model's face (especially his cheeks and lips) that rings my bell. Wow, bravo, Tom! -- Bill
September 19, 2008 12:00am It is amazing how a face can tell a story, if you can see it. Just one look can say more than the best written novel but only if it is recorded. Left in your hands we are all witness to a plethora of emotion and beauty. As always wonderful work!
