The pose, expression, candid-like gaze off into space... it all adds up to making the viewer wonder “what’s going on here?” And the lighting and shadows... the color palette! This is an image that I would expect to see blown up large and hanging as part of an exhibit at a museum (like Fotografiska) or a gallery.
