Head lowered trying to understand
Why some people do the things they do
Sat staring for the longest time
Hoping that someone would come to this place
But there no-one came, still just an empty room
Wishing there was no need to fight another day
Wanting peace and to rest away from the battles
Unable to understand or find human solace
Pressed in close to the wall for its hard cold embrace
Turned away from the emptiness that lies around
But cannot escape the loneliness within
