November 07, 2011 7:17pm There is a magic in this composition that comes from the interaction and drama between the models, the environment, and you, the photographer. Were just one of these elements to have been missing would have caused a collapse in the magic - like a tripod holding the elements of the composition firmly balanced. The play of pastels against the rigid lines and horizontal nature of the cityscape and tiled floors are a perfect counter-melody to the story being told. Too, the relaxed stance of the male contrasts perfectly with the rigidity of the female model. This composition is a beautiful play of opposites - soft against hard, linear against fluid, brightness against a more monochromatic city-scape. Thought-provoking and fascinating - like a voyeur getting a glimpse into the drama of another couple's life.
