In this image you are relaxed and partly undressed, but because you cover your breast demurely this instigates an association in the viewer's mind with the "thrilling" aspect of nudity (the fact society is not supposed to publicly view this private scenario, or, the stage in a romance where the lovers are only partly comfortable with each other's intimacy). The other arm, however, in terms of body language states a dominant aspect. The "I got this" confidence of the hand on the head (which is wierdly in sync with what cops tell you to do when they arrest you)... all this close analysis serves really to underscore how so many unconscious registers of thinking are activated by this image, making it a rich visual feast, symbolically and in practical terms, as well). What are we forgetting? What kind of goes unsaid? The model's absolute and undeniable fleshly beauty. Her alluring attraction which is thereby enframed by all these cultural - psychological - and animal forces. Forces most people don't really notice that much or are usually that much aware of but that tickle the brain more directly after viewing accomplished work such as this. Cheers! Great stuff!
