February 16, 2012 11:03am This is a very intriguing image. To me the overall image has a Cleopatra look - but there's nothing Cleopatra in the image. Maybe it's the shape formed by the necklaces? The hairstyle is modern, and the wooden bead necklace has a primitive look. Contradictions like this create tension (on a subconscious level), and tension = interest and sometimes even fascination. People linger on an image like this, and they never know why. Since I look for this sort of thing, it usually doesn't take me as long to resolve the tension. But I sat here and looked at the image for several minutes, and the tension is still unresolved. There's just something about it...
