Usually, there are two main kinds of betel nut, one is white meat (ç½è which are the words on the sign), the other is red meat (ç´ è or 赤è) The color is different. When you cut the betel nut in half, you can see. Usually the white meat tastes better than red. White is a more tender young nut, red is old, with a lot of fiber."
