About Me
Although I took art classes in high school and college, I did not really begin painting until I left military service in 1985. Since then I have discovered that I paint in sporadic periods of time based upon location, time, and life.
By 1996 I shifted gears into photography because it was more easily controlled and for me, less obsessive. For me, photography is easier to contain in blocks of time than painting where I often look up to find that it is 4 AM in the morning and almost time to begin the morning commute. Most of my paintings are abstract, and, not surprisingly most of my photographs are not abstract. In many ways, my paintings are more personal and intimate. There are probably many reasons for this, and I suspect one of the reasons is that while I sell both paintings and photographs, I don’t paint weddings, events, and passport photos. Generally I like to work on heavy paper, wood, and even stone with charcoal, oil pastels and pencil that I then paint into. I appreciate you stopping by and looking at my work and hope that you will have the time to leave a comment. Verified Credits (0)Worked with Peyton King - Artist?
