I've lived in Los Angeles for a few years but still often feel new to the area. I'm a seasoned artist who now primarily works with oil paint on canvas or solid board. I use my own photography for the basis of most of my work and have been refining my style toward the hyper-real and honing my consistency there. I work out of my place but am planning to open a multipurpose studio in the LA area.

My interest in this site is to share examples of my work as well as collaborate with others, whether other artists, photographers or models, to create new work suited mainly for galleries and real-world display rather than publishing.

The kind of visual work I like to do is based on simple subjects with complex details and lighting. I'm looking to broaden the depth and subject matter of my pieces in the spirit of Normal Rockwell or Amerighi da Caravaggio which will take a lot of photography with a large number of models. Rates:

* If you are inexperienced or wanting to build a portfolio, I will do TFP/TFCD. I'm always happy to share some of my time for non-commercial interests or helping each other with portfolio enhancements.

* If I plan to use any photos from a shoot in a piece of artwork that will later go for sale or sold as prints, I will offer you some portion of the shoot as TFP as well as a one-time fee for your time.

* If I need an art model and not going to provide photos from a shoot, I will pay standard art modeling rates for your time. I'm an artist and not a photographer so I don't normally shoot photos for anyone but myself for the purpose of use in my art.

* If you want my time for your own photo or art ideas, let me know and we can discuss the rates for my time (and materials), size of the original art and planned usage as well as whether you will be purchasing the original artwork or only want the imagery in digital format. If you would like to purchase original artwork (and/or usage rights) from me, get in touch and we can discuss.

In all cases, I require a model release to be signed.
