About Me

If you are serious and passionate about creating and honoring art I will be more than happy to help your vision become reality. Would love to build some theatrical, ethereal type costumes. (Sci Fi works too!) Looking for more artistic and conceptual shoots!

I love retro, pinup, burlesque, showgirl, fantasy,
Burtonesque styles.
I  love creating, the more feathers and rhinestones,
the more thaterical and outlandish the better!
I can build anything you can dream up!
(with the proper time of course!)

I am a costume designer with extensive credits!
I have designed and built costumes for film and stage
up and down the East Coast!I I am also a former dancer ...
formal training in NY for more than 15 years
and competed in International Latin Ballroom
at the collegic level!
I am looking to add more artistic / conceptual
as well as more theatrical looks to my book
right now!

I can also  make a whole lot of something
from nothing (make a $2 thrift store item look
high end)  and I do have many trims
and such on hand already to jazz up an
existing wardrobe peice.  I am highly skilled
at altered couture. I also have a nicely stocked
vintage / fashion closet to pull from!

Select TFP  for those artistic ,
conceptual photographers! (Please - I am very selective about
"high fashion" looks for TFP!)
I am not currently styling for swimwear or lingerie,
unless there is a wardrobe budget or the model can
provide these items  (Swimwear and Lingerie
are so specific to each person - it is not cost effective
for me to keep in stock. IF NEEDED I CAN BUILD
THESE ITEMS TO A MODEL'S SPECS IF
AND ONLY IF THERE IS A BUDGET)

***Models ~If you are interested in
working with me for portfolio
building  - please contact me for
my 2 and 3 look  all-inclusive rates!!! ***

I will waive my kit fee for tearsheets
or mag submissions!

I also work full time as a Critical Care RN,
doing 12 hour shifts including some nights
and some weekends!  My scheduling can be
pretty flexible, but it also makes it more difficult
for last minute shoots and item construction.
For a shoot, I need at least 36 hours notice
for my prep time.  I actually try to plan the shoot
with the other members of the team, and also like to
"shoot the plan".  Makes for a smoother day
that is more productive!

I do prefer studio shoots, or those
with pulled permits.  As far as location shoots -
I enjoy them for what they inspire! However,
I will not get involved in any "guerilla style" shoots.
I work too hard to plan my looks only to be
kicked out of a location and unable
to complete the shoot.
(NO DISNEY CONCERT HALL UNLESS WITH A PERMIT!)

I am also an artist and have
set design and set construction experience.
If you need assistance creating your enviroment,
I may be able to help!

[b]Been laying low the last year - got seriously screwed over by a nerd herd community theater group in fall '08.  Was very into the project, gave 110% including over $500 of my own money to make the project shine - pulled all nighters to complete elaborate costumes for the female lead - a mishapen ugly witch -only to have her want more and more (her loser of a husband was the writer/director and president of the crappy company)and leave me scrambling to costume the other cast members.  All this for no pay, budget for half of what was quoted and 6 weeks late so scrambled to build my designs, but I loved what I was going to do. Thought it was worth it. These narcissitic nobodies took advantage and I fell for it.  Not only did they screw over 2 amazing MUAs who donated over 8 hours for a photoshoot creating 4 looks for 5 different actresses (vintage hollywood glam I might add - not easy work) only to get shitty ass pics from a chumpy no talent mole of a photog, but I also have no decent pics of my own labors. All this only to have my borrowed items literally destroyed (from my own stock with no rental fees charged to the company), vintage jewelry broken, and a bad taste in my mouth for local LA theater (which is my first love).  Literally gave everything in my stock closet away to a local thrift store. At least they aprreciated it.  Even yanked down my website 'cus I was so over it all! (yeah - thats why the link doesn't work!)
I am wanting to prove to myself that this was just one bad apple.

As far as friends go, I appreciate all of you folks,
and I am humbled by praise from such awesome
and creative people  - but I will only list those
that I have worked with or those whose work
is truly spectacular and inspirational to me.
Please understand!  I have many people in my favorites
list too, and refer back to them often to see how
they are progressing....please do the same.
Hopefully we will have opportunities to work
together one day and then you will be on the
friends list.
AKA - I do not blow sunshine up anyone's rear end,
and really take my friend's list seriously!
