I'm a stylist, not a designer...but if you're on this site, I guess you know the difference.

I got into styling "by mistake."  I was on facebook minding my business and was approached to be a writer for a new fashion website.  Next, I ran into someone I knew from high school and she needed help producing her fashion shows.  Through my involvement with that, people assumed that I was a stylist.  I didn't identify myself as one at the time but then I thought, "Why not?  It's not like you need a piece of paper to say you're a stylist." 

As my credits show, I spent about 2 years developing my reputation as a stylist.  I quickly realized it wasn't just about being stylish.  The forums here on modelmayhem, as well as a book by Crystal Wright, really helped me learn the ropes - more than I was ever able to execute.  I was starting to get more requests, and didn't have to do everything TFP/CD when I decided to move to S. Korea.  I planned to stay one year and ended up staying for two.

In Korea, the language barrier and making moves in the industry proved more than I expected, so I only did one shoot and have since decided not to pursue styling at all until I can really put my all into it. 

I was working full time, attending grad part-time, and trying to make this jump off for me on the side.  It was a lot of work but it was also a lot of fun.  It allowed me to put my analytical mind to work in a positive way and I have a undisclosed dream in mind as it relates to image consulting and character development.  Unfortunately, now that I'm in my "real" career - the one I've put myself into debt for lol - I don't have time to dabble in styling.  I had to change my goals because it wasn't profitable enough. 

I do aim to get back at it though.  In the meantime, I thank everyone who has supported me as well as those who still believe in me.
